Live Life in Full Bloom

newspaper59

It is hard to believe that we are approaching the end of the 2022-2023 school year. What a phenomenal year it has been! Take a moment, and reflect back to the first day of school. Have you grown emotionally, physically, and academically or remained the same? I bet many of you can relate to those late nights studying for a test and your alarm goes off way too early. Then there’s those late night practices that leave your body tired and longing for a good night's sleep. Or perhaps it was running into Advisory and you realize you are the only one not dressed in proper formal. Maybe your GPA slips when it is time to seek colleges. All of these seem outrageously problematic while you go through them, but let's take a step back and see how much we have grown. We are as powerful as the Potentilla. (Pow.tuhn.ti.luh) The potentilla is a beautiful 5- petal flower that blooms in the Northern Hemisphere. You may be wondering why you are being compared to a simple flower. This “simple” flower gets its name from the latin word “Potens” which translates into "powerful."

The Potentilla is known to grow in even the hottest and driest climates. As individuals, we have tackled the assignments that looked impossible at the beginning of the year. We have tried many new challenges that put us outside of our comfort zone. We have even won those games where we thought we had no chance. We have learned to advocate for ourselves and utilize our wonderful teachers and staff. We leaned on our friends, and they helped us bloom into our best selves. Even though we all started out seedlings, we have blossomed into magnificent individuals! As we finish out this school year we still have so much in store for us and have so much “Potentilla” for achieving goals!
